I am a US university student with three months of free time in the summer. I am hoping to find some volunteer restoration work abroad, hopefully in Africa. I was wondering if you could help me find some organizations offering restoration work abroad.

Many organizations offer volunteer restoration work abroad. I have listed a few of the organizations below. Be sure to contact the organizations and ask if they offer the type of project you are looking for.

Friends of Tsavo – Offers volunteer restoration work in one of Kenya’s most important national parks, Tsavo National Park.

British Trust for Conservation Volunteers – Offer volunteer restoration work opportunities abroad.

Tararu Valley – A co-operatively run rainforest property at the head of Tararu Valley, volunteers work on restoration and conservation projects surrounded by 140,000 acres of the Coromandel State Forest Park.

Uganda Wildlife Education Centre – Offers volunteer opportunities in on restoration work projects in Uganda.

Trees for Life – Volunteers participate on restoration work abroad in the Caledonian Forest in Scotland.

Enkosini – Offers volunteer restoration work in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa.
